
David Kahura Mundia was born at Pumwani Hospital, Nairobi County. He grew up at Korogocho, Nairobi, attending Ngunyumu Primary School after which he proceeded to Starehe Boys’ Centre for his secondary education.

Kahura Mundia has an aggregate of 10years experience in the dental profession, over 5 years experience in health care management, health law affairs and policy development and over 3 years experience in corporate law, labour and human rights engagements.

Kahura Mundia currently serves as the National Deputy Chairman of the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and, Dentists Union(KMPDU), Executive Founder Director of Dentcare Kenya Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to promote and provide oral healthcare services to the needy and underserved. He is also a company director of the following entities, Firstline Healthcare Limited and DentPro Healthcare Limited.
Kahura Mundia’s leadership principle is to have and encourage participatory democracy, and promotion of freedoms of expression all towards championing the rights and welfare of doctors and patients.
